..........and the one my redhead honey got banned from Mickey's (big, really nice night club here) for doing on karaoke night. It wasn't her singing, she sounds almost exactly like the original singer, but her "choreography" may have been a little too graphic? The crowd loved it, the management,,,,,,,,,,,,not so much, lol!

She has that whole short and sassy look going pretty good.

I like Suanna Hoffs (lead singer in the video) in this video:

with a rockier tune:

I like the blonde drummer in this video (and yes, Belinda Carlisle, the lead singer is also pretty hot):

Most people think that The Go-Gos were just another all girl band, but they started out as a punk band; easy to hear that on this version of the song.

Any of the above songs are a great way to kick up a party, or to get people moving on the dance floor.

Don't tell anyone but I'm a big Go-Go's fan.

Short story: I happened to be in NYC visiting a buddy that lives out there back in May 2001. He's an advertising guy and a natural at it (excellent at what he does) and his agency did the local advertising for a Go-Go's concert. So of course he could get us in to see them without having tickets (none were left to buy anyways). They did a concert in Central Park to promote their new album (God Bless the Go-Go's),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,best concert I've been to, ever. I've been to some that were darn good but they were great! The concert was recorded for a live DVD and I ALMOST got in one of the shots. You can see my date though, waving a glow stick. Every time I get kind of depressed or whatever, pop the DVD in and instant good mood. Never forget it as long as I live.

One of the songs at the concert:

Went to high school in San Marcos, Texas. In June of '66 the night before we enlisted in the Marine Corps, my buddies and I drove down to Lake McQueeney in my DeSoto hemi powered '55 Ford. The joint was rocking. Everyone was dancing to this song......

'Land of 1000 Dances'...... Cannibal & the Headhunters......

That guy has a good voice too, lots of range.

I remember hearing that song WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY back in the late '60/early '70's era when I was a young pup in elementary school (started kindergarten fall of '69) then happened to hear it again a few weeks ago on radio when I was driving home from work and looked it up on You-Tube when I got home. I swear I saw the same "video" on some TV show when I was maybe 4 years old. It seems very familiar.
