That's because you sent all the rain up here.
Solid heavy rain non stop today, tonight and tomorrow.
Good thing I had to move a bunch of furniture today in a freakin pickup truck.....

Hope it was plastic furniture, lol. Reminds me of the time when I still had my old truck ('81 D150), had to have been early 1998. Mostly sunny and no rain forecast. I went over to Menard's to pick up a few sheets of sheetrock. Got to the building counter to get a slip for the stuff (then pay and drive around to the yard to load it up) Sure enough, could see outside and it was a downpour. Where the bleep did that come from? No cap on the truck btw. It's like "are you freaking kidding me?" Had to wait to the next day to go pick it up.

Our luck is going to run out I think. This makes 5 entire days,,,,in a row, with no rain. I can't remember more than 2 days in row with no rain since the beginning of May. Be afraid, very afraid, lol. Figures, in April when it's SUPPOSED to rain we got 4" of snow and maybe 1/2" of rain and that's it. Problem is there was no rain but it was to cold to do anything outdoors. Sigh...................

100+ every day and rain every day too. Rain not a prob when the car is a sieve anyhow. NO AC might be a prob for some since the seat is plastic. Except my seat, which is springs so much cooler.... ;-)

Monday we had a huge storm appear and the wind went from 2 to 50-65 like RIGHT NOW. Couldn't get the doors closed at work fast enough. Among other things it blew the alignment machine (computer part of it that's on a wheeled cart) right to the end of it's power cord. Temp dropped form 81 down to the 50's in less than 30 seconds and it rained so hard it wasn't even funny. After that nasty thing however, it's been awesome. Last couple mornings were a bit nipply though, low 40's but warmed up to low 70's, sunshine, basically no humidity and a light breeze, including today.
What's really strange, it's a holiday weekend here in the USA and a lot of people (me included) get a 3 day weekend and there's nothing but sunshine, temps around 80 and light winds forecast for all 3 days!!!!!!!!!! This has to be some kind of trick....................

If you guys up there in Canada would keep your wildfire smoke to yourselves, it'd be a perfectly clear day today, but noooooooooooooooooooooooo, lol. Hazy, whitish sky with a hint of burning wood aroma in the air. Thanks a lot..............Still, going to be a nice few days despite your attempts to thwart it! Heh-heh

Someone did, off to your WNW a ways. Sky here is white as a ghost again today (smoke), supposed to be around 80 or so and most importantly,,,,,,,,,,NO RAIN! I think the car WILL be out at some point during the day.

Fires are raging here in Alberta and in Saskatchewan. Been pretty dry for a while, so any lightning strike has a good possibility of starting a fire. Seems worse in Saskatchewan this year; hear a lot them are out of control there.

Amazing how that smoke can travel so far. The fires are like 1,500 miles away from here. Sky was, and is, white all day. Took this pic early this morning, about 5:30 or 6am. In person, the sun was bright red. The white is the smoke, not clouds.

Still, despite the shade over the sun it got up to 84 today and it's about freaking time! Humidity is low yet, in the 30% range. I see tomorrow the forecast says a high of 85 and HUMID. I think it's going to be one of those scorchers and not complaining. We wait months and months through winter and "spring" and then part way into summer for this.

I always tell people that complain it's too hot in July or August when it's in the 90's or 100's to just remember back in January when you woke up and the thermometer said -28, the high temp for the very short day was -10 and the wind chill was -50(f) and then tell me it's too hot out. Usually shuts them right up! lol

Mid 90's today with storms moving in to break the heat.

Well, seems summer took a couple days off around here. Yesterday it was only 74 but the humidity was in the 90% range until just past noon, then it rained,,,,,,,,,,,,hard, for a couple hours. Heard on TV there was a tornado about 35 miles south of here. Then a front came through and it dropped into the 50's by evening (freaking brrrrrrrrrr). Sunny today but barely hit 70 (maybe), lows tonight in the mid 40's in the city and mid 30's in the country. "Up north" there is a frost warning. WTF, this is July, right? Good news is it's only a couple days and back to the 80's by Friday.

Our heat wave will be starting this weekend. After the world ending storm a couple nights ago (woke up at 2:30 am to what sounded like 100 mph wind, then the lightning, thunder, a little hail and rain. Holy crap rain! 2" in 1/2 hour) the day was nice. Today,,,,,,,,,,,oh man! Mostly sunny, just enough breeze to feel on your face, 76 degrees, 21% humidty,,,,,,,,,PURE PERFECTION!

By the weekend: High's in the low 90's and they say "tropical like humidity" and calm winds. I'm sweating already. Not complaining, I'll take that over winter and -20F with 30 mph north wind any day.

We had the melt your brain heatwave with a smog advisory.
Then the cold front went through and now.....sunny and mid 70's. Doesn't get any better.

Oh, thanks for reminding me about the smog thing (sarcasm intended). Seems every time it gets really hot AND humid here, there's like a lid or something on the valley and all the crap gets stuck in it. End up with burning eyes, scratchy throat, itchy nose. Yee-ha! I imagine we'll have an advisory this weekend. They usually call it "air quality alert 1, 2, or 3", avoiding the smog term.

Rained all afternoon to get plenty of moisture on the ground to evaporate into steam tomorrow when the front is done passing through and then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the heat wave is upon us.

hot and muggy already here, they was a road crew working down the street, made it smell like a sea port outside! thank God the valley here isn't too deep so the wind blows through and dissipates most of the pollution. Over by the house on the other hand, sometimes it gets like that, makes your eyes burn, don't even like breathing that junk. Replaced our 50 year old furnace a while back with a modern one with fans and filters on. There's no A/C, but you can still set it to "cool" just having that thing blow filtered air out from the basement is very nice on days like that.

Well, I have no A/C in the house (just the big garage where the car is parked,,,,,,,,,,,priorities you know! lol) and no basement either (slab on grade) so,,,,,,,,,,it's windows open. Wish I had a basement but in the area my house is in, you have about 4-6" top soil, then a few inches of sand, then a few inches of gravel, down a couple more inches and the rocks get bigger and bigger until 3-4 feet down you come to solid rock. Only way to have a basement is to blast a hole. Because of the conditions, my house only has an 18" deep foundation and is perfectly level yet after almost 70 years. Not so bad downstairs, the walls are 14" thick in total with insulation inside and out. Upstairs on the other hand,,,,,,,,,,that's just regular 2x4 stick framed and right now it's about 100 degrees up there, seriously.

Knew it was going to be hot. Went to bed last night and it was 56 degrees. Woke up at 6am to 71 degrees and muggy. Right now (5:30 pm) it's sunny, 86 degrees and 67% humidity with almost no breeze. They say today is cool and dry compared with what's coming the next couple days. Son of a................................BETTER THAN WINTER THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
