Must be an early F-body unit, I would look for the plug in the casting. I know that one of the machines that made those style axles was retired and sold surplus to another manufacturer some time in the early 80s.

As for a 70 B-body 8.25' axle Moser can make them, it would be good if you had the remains to measure. Otherwise they are going ot be a pain to find.

I do have the old axles.
They welded the C-Clips and damaged the ends of the axles.
I wouldn't trust them in another carrier.

Thanks for the info 80.

Yeah, I remember looking at those and G2 ect.
Seems the only thing on the shelf is for 8 3/4 and Dana 60.
Which is understandable being that nobody with real HP is going to build a 8 1/4.

Like you said, they would have to be made.
Looking at those prices, I would just find another whole rear end.
Moser Engineering - B-Body Cars - MOPAR Car Axles - MOPAR AXLES - Axles - Stock Application

I would rather just have another F/M/J 8.25 so I don't have to do anything to the perches.
I have located some complete M Body 8.25s, but a 5 hour drive each way.

Hi Guys, see you have been busy on this post, I have ordered a cover with a filler in it from summit, should be in NZ in a few weeks. I got the rear end back from the sand blaster today and painted it all up in a special rust/chip resistant paint. What you think?

Looks Great!
The only thing I would do different is add 11" X 2 1/2" Brakes and air cooled drums.
But that can all come later if you even wanted to do that.
