wheel trim rings for police wheels ?

Anyone know what trim rings will fit the mopar 15" police wheels ? They don't have to be mopar only trim rings. Just rings that fit and are as deep as possible 3" I'm hoping for the rings to have a very large opening to see the open wheel slots. If you happen to know of any rings ( mopar, GM, Ford ? ) that fit get back with me, Bonus points for part numbers.....Thanks

My guess is there were not any factory trim rings for Police cars 15" wheels and any you recall seeing were added via aftermarket source. Chrysler had factory ones for at least E and C bodies but I wouldn't want to pay the price for those now. Any 15" wheel trim ring should be fine Trim Ring | 15 Inch x 2.5 Inch Round

I can tell you from experience that you want quality metal clips because otherwise they will be noisy. Tick, tick, tick

I understand. You might find some for less. I had several sets years ago and got so annoyed with the noisy ones. Very loud driving through my neighborhood. They have the sound of a rock inside of a wheel cover.

Chrysler trim rings originally used on the 1970 and 1971 15" x 7" Rallye Class I wheels, wheel part number 2944390, will fit the 15" x 7" police wheels, wheel part number 3766077. The 1970 15" x 7" Rallye Class I wheel trim ring with chrome, or polished, finish is part number 3461043. The 1971, and some late 1970, 15" x 7" Rallye Class I wheel trim ring with brushed finish is part number 3461222. These trim rings are 4 inches deep. Trim ring 3461043 was also used on the Challenger T/A as the standard 15" x 7" black painted wheels, wheel part number 2944450.

The 3461043 and 3461222 trim rings fit the police wheels properly, but the inner lip covers the outer edge of the slots. The inner lip of the ring fits the Rallye wheel or a solid 15" x 7" painted wheel better.

The following images shows a Magnum GT 15" x 7" wheel, wheel part number 3880936, with a 3461043 polished trim ring:

The Magnum GT wheel is dimensionally the same as the police wheel, albeit not as heavy duty, but lacks the center hub cap nubs. Looking down at the wheel, at an angle, the slots show up better.
NOTE: The original Magnum GT 15" x 7" wheel and Super Coupe 15" x 8" trim ring, part number 388094, is a similar polished trim ring, but has a more slotted valve stem hole.

The following image shows a 15" x 7" painted wheel, wheel part number 4126675, without slots and the 3461222 brushed trim ring:

The following image shows a 3461222 brushed trim ring on a 1970 Rallye wheel for comparison of fit at the center:

Both early numbers for the 15" x 7" wheels were reissued, with a "P" prefix as P3461043 (polished) and P3461222 (brushed) under the Mopar Performance "Restoration" parts, with new tooling, which fits the 7" wheels. These Mopar Performance trim rings were discontinued in the early 2000s, but then released again under P5153310 (polished) and P5153311 (brushed). These are now discontinued too.

The 2.5 inch deep trim rings also fit the police wheels, but leave a gap at the center, and also cover the outer edge of the slots. The first version 15" x 6.5" Rallye Class I wheel, part number 3699066 was released for the 1976 model year. The trim rings used for that wheel were made on the 1970/1971 tooling that had been modified for the narrower ring. The 1976-1977 15" x 6.5" Class I production trim ring was part number 3699100, which was polished. 2.5 inch deep trim rings were also released under the 3461043 when Chrysler re-used the part number in a confusing series of re-release and re-use for 2.5 inch and 3 inch trim rings.

I have not used any reproduction trim rings, but Wheel Vlntiques makes a reproduction of the Chrysler 3 inch trim ring in both polished, part number 3003-P-1, and brushed, part number 3003-B-1. Summit and Speedway Motors list the trim rings.

I also have not used general aftermarket or other car company trim rings, with the exception of some GM trim rings from a Cutlass that I tried in the late 1970s on Rallye wheels. The ring looked okay, but not right, and they did not fit well with an inferior clip attachment.

With all that said, I don't run the trim rings on police wheels, just plain like this:

i did. they scratch up the paint on your rim but look damn nice.
the ones i had came from a Gran Fury that was at Crazy Rays years ago. recently found out they're off 5 spoke Z28 Chevy Rally wheels. i recently bought a set of Police wheels that game with beauty rings. i don't intend to do anything with those so i might throw them up on marketplace (the rings themselves alongside some civ rims)

OK are the drop centers of the Mopar Rallye wheels the same size as the mopar police wheels 13.25" . I would really like to find a 3" deep trim ring. But you guys have me spooked aabout the trim ring making noise

i never heard them make noise. but my suspension is already noise so.... the only issue i ever had with them is popping off on a big bump and they scratch the rim and paint underneath. i think the ones sent with my police wheels were 2'' deep. i can dig them out and measure them.

Do you by chance know the size of the drop center of the mopar rallye wheel centers,? the mopar police wheel is 13.25"...not sure about the 15" rallye center

The drop center is 12-3/8 inches, measured inside the wheel rim, or hoop.

15" x 7" Rallye Class I wheels have a deeper drop center than other 15" Chrysler steel wheels because the 15" Rallye wheel uses the same center portion as the 14" Rallye wheel. The deeper drop center is shown in the following image of a Rallye wheel next to a police wheel:
