Why do people try to push a false narrative thats fits there needs vs following the facts and doing the research?

The same reason they put bumper stickers on cars. They think that their view is the only view and the whole world is wrong.

I know what you are referring to and am doing my best to prove it's true and not made up.

I learned a long time ago in forums when you start and post a thread you don't own it or control were it goes. It is what it is.

I have learned in the Mopar world to never say never. Seems anytime something is thought to be the absolute only way they were built, one will come along (with documentation to prove it) built differently than the accepted only correct way. Maybe they weren't supposed to be built with certain options or groups of options but a few were. Some were just plain misbuilt so the paperwork doesn't match how it was put together. So which is correct, the way the tag/build sheet says it was supposed to be built or the way it actually came off the line? That's an argument that will never be resolved.

The argument about some Little Red trucks leaving Chrysler is going on on another site now, guys have bought them from Chrysler that way new and used. But Chrysler didn't sell them like that........

Yeah, I remember something about that. Seems I read an article in Hot Rod(?) back before the LRT was in production and it said the engine had W2 heads. I was only 14 at the time so can't recall exactly. (that was a long time ago) They were originally going to have W2's it seems but when production came around that idea was scrapped. Probably cost related is my guess.

I remember that too about the W2 heads on the Little Red. That was a let down when I checked one out. I can`t remember what the salesman said about it.

I read, more recently, about the possibility of W2's.
I’ve worked on a few LRE’s back when they were new and the heads (and exhaust manifolds) looked like any other 360 I’ve worked on. Now the valve covers and air cleaners were different . . .

Seems the W2 heads never made it past prototype production for the LRE. Wonder if that was the bean counters getting rid of them. A full second faster in the 1/4 but, not much difference performance wise based on the numbers off of, Mopar connection.
