Another thing that might need another thread, is garage lighting. I’ve read a lot of wood working books and a common bit of advice is older a person gets, the more light is needed in your work space.
I don’t remember the ages but something like a person 50 needs twice the light as a person of 30. Again, a person of 70 needs twice the light as a person of 50. Note the ages light be a bit off – for I’m going by memory.
Now that I’m over 50, I have noticed my garages is rather “dim”.
Unrelated and another off-topic item. I have a pair of Harbor Freight double-500w Halogen work lamps – that warms my garage fairly well (when it’s not in the single digits or lower, that is).
Just don’t work to close to the lamps or you will get burnt.
