Hello to all. For my 1st post, I'd like to thank the owner/builder of this site. Who knew back then that such an interest in our love for anything built with transverse torsion bar's would someday make a comeback?! Not me. All my friends drove appropriate longitude bar a&b bodies. I was out casted, belittled, putdown, shamed. Shamed for buying a hot looking brand new,and by the way guys; motor trend's car of the year,Mopar? Well let's just see about that. Hmmm, shave head's, headers, cam, sidepipes, swap out od883 for close ratio 71challenger 4sp. Yea I think I'm cool, chrome 81/4 cover, pinion snubber, flip gas filler, i'm front to back ready. 1st job; my Buddy's 69 396 4sp Chevelle. Done. Next up,another buds 65 mustang, Done. The only car in my group that always got me top end was a 68 fastback cuda 340 auto. Well back to the post; why didn't mother mope, #1 place an r/t emblem on the glove box door, #2 install a flip gas filler, #3 use the police speedo indicated to 140mph.and last but not least a rear police swaybay? I mean come on, just 2yrs earlier a trackpac checked off on the order form meant these things. So I had to do it myself no big deal but it has always bugged me. I was just glad they keep the amber (your in reverse dummy)lite under the dash. Well thanks everyone for taking me in, I'm no Galvin Glover, but having worked at the dealer when these came out does give me some creed on the breed sorta speak. So I know a thing or two, because I've seen a thing or two, when it comes to f body mopars. Paint daulbs, bracket locations, recall parts. Maybe I can be of help, hit me up. 1more thing. Why didn't we ever see any f's on the show; graveyard cars? Thanks again,Mopar to ya
