That will look really good. It's really very similar to the '76-'77 Aspen R/T stripe, just a variation on that. So you already know it will look right on your car. My favorite F-body color combo.

That is some really nice progress. Nice parts. You gonna tag it as a classic? How is it running?

Thanks it was alot of hard work getting all that in there. Its getting a classic tag and the licence plate is going to be custom BLKBRD. not sure how well it runs yet but it did crank and cylinders fired briefly. its out of gas and I am not filling it up till after the trunk repairs go on since I will have to drop the tank. The rear seat was covered with a Mexican blanket from the Hess station. I just finished my grill repairs and painted it up with Rusto Appliance Epoxy and Duplicolor Instant Chrome.

Its GOT to have the stripe. I agree with you 100% its the best looking combo for the body and will be easy to do since the stripe follows the body line. With all the other things that its gonna have I just dont think it will look done right with out one. Plus I like the dashed stripe because I used to have a cuda and it reminds me of the AAR stripe a little bit.

Greymouser and I have talked about this and there are certain things that must be done to remove the grandma look from 2 door Volares and Aspens. These cars have a really good potential to look HOT.

BIG Tires this one is the most important because the wheel wells are HUGE on these cars and the stock tires are tiny.
Remove the bumper bumps and make the bumper smooth. The bumpers with no plastic look best
The car must have a slight rake. a couple inches higher in the back is plenty. looks bad if overdone
Grills and headlights need to be blacked out leaving only the chrome outline.
Window louvers, spoiler, wheel flares, chin spoiler..
a dark paint job that allows the chrome to standout more...
This one we differ on but I think a stripe of some kind is needed.

do all that and you got one bad mamajamma.

No power to either side of ballast resistor when key is in run. I looked at the wiring harness and I have 12 volts on the blue wire coming of the EGR controller. looks like a wire fault. Going to splice some new wire in and clean things up in there see if I can resurrect this beast tonight.

Whooo Whooooo!!!!!!:icon_super::headbang::headbang::headbang: Thank you so much Captain!!! If you hadn't suggested the ballast resistor I wouldn't have checked anything there...And It RUNS...Extremely well. good throttle response and no exhaust leaks. with the door closed and the window up you can't hear the engine. One more check in the block. Now for the clutch pedal Issue and tail lights and I am in business.

Glad I could help!
That's mint that she's running....large congrats!!

Thanks again.. It was a little bit of a gamble on that engine i cost greymouser 60 bucks and a 800 mile round trip in a honda civic to get it. We owe huge thanks for the generosity of that man who sold it to him. I looked it over and all the tell tale things were good. GREEN coolant, no oil white sludge in the coolant, the oil was clean and had NO metal in it. so in it went.. so relieved now.
