Spotted this ad while scanning CL (you never know). Look at the photos and then read the text. "Needs bodywork on the box but other than that it's a great truck". Really? Just the box? lol Let's not forget the famous BREAK pads. Sigh.................

Why even waste a new windshield and brakes on that rust bucket? I have seen rusty f bodies that looked better.

Sad part is, for the typical 16 year old Wisconsin truck, it's not all that bad as far as rust goes. :(

I like this view (from the above CL listing):

I'm guessing it is not a new version of a floor mat - but masking a larger problem.

Though they are very dirty, the plaid seats don't look very worn. A good set is hard to find - I know. If the price was less, this could make an excellent parts car, particularly with the four speed. (AND it has a "white fur headliner!") :D

We "experienced" guys probably all remember the fur dash, fur package tray, fur headliner thing of the 1970's. Let's not forget the red dome light too, lol:p

Unless you needed a back or quarter glass, roof or deck lid there's not much there.

I’d love to have a ’66-67 Charger and a ’67-69 Barracuda – for I like the looks of both.
The first gen Chargers – there was not that many built to begin with so if you don’t have a complete car, your stuck. More of the second gen ‘Cuda’s were made and more re-production parts are made for them – but still, without a complete car, it is pain to finish.

Buying either car complete is outside of my budget.

I have a feeling the Charger is what's left of a parts car after he got all the parts he needed for a restoration.

Way back in the very early '80's, a friend of mine had a '69 Barracuda Fastback 383/auto. I loved that car. Funnily enough, he traded a '71 Super Beetle for it, even up. Went from no power (or heat) and 45 mpg to lots of power and 12 mpg, lol. Wonder what ever happened to that car? He sold it when the left front subframe rail rusted out and the upper control arm parted ways with the frame. The car just vanished, never to be seen again. Being a glutten for punishment (in the wallet) he bought a 1970 Olds 98 Custom Cruiser wagon with a 455 and that land yacht averaged 8 mpg on a good day. He never was the sharpest tool in the shed and on a just out of high school budget, buying a gas hog wasn't too bright, but I digress.

An original big block K-frame from that A-body is worth some money today – even if it needs some repair work done to it.
Never been an A-body fan – but always like the way the fastback ‘Cuda’s looked.

A-body big blocks were fun straight-line performance – but not so fun when stopping or turning.
25-30 years ago, I thought it would be lots of fun to find a big block aluminum block, aluminum heads (etc.) and put some decent brakes on an A-body (note: this was when the only aluminum blocks or heads out there was on top fuel dragsters – without cooling systems) – but never did anything about it (just me daydreaming).

Here's some pics of a very sad Charger from the same vintage. It was in back of a local shop sitting for years. I don't know a lot about it, except that one of the owners of the garage had bought it "for parts" years before. It was probably a 318, or maybe a 383. At one time, it would have been a really nice looking blue Charger. I'm not sure if it's still there anymore, but I wouldn't doubt it. It wasn't going anywhere fast.
