I've got this same problem. It started out by a delay then banging hard into reverse. Then it got worse. If you touched the gas at all in reverse or have to back up a slight hill, it will kick in and out and grind like hell. Sometimes no reverse at all! All three forward gears work nice an crisp...

Got one guys, thanks. Parts store, 8 bucks. Replaced and it's working fine. The switch is no longer getting hot, so apparently there was a short in the switch some where.

I know it's been a while, but wondering if these cars are still there? I could use the interior plastics (A and B pillar trim, etc), and some decent rear wheel lip moldings.

All the cloth is peeling off my interior window trim in my Fifth. Took one A pillar trim out, peeled the cloth, tried everything from texture spray to Plasti-Dip. Everything looks horrible! At this point, I think it would be easier to find a Dippy/Gran Fury with grey interior trim and replace it...

Thanks guys. It's the roller 2-bbl "P" in the vin engine. I used regular Valvoline in it. It has 134,000 on it, but runs like it has 34,000 on it. On my other two cars, which are a '58 and a '61, I use the Valvoline Racing VR-1, which still has adequate ZDDP content for the flat tappets.

She's looking better now. Finally found a set of '76 Yorker caps that look good on it. Also added some chrome metal splash guards. Getting there.
