the only time I have had to replace it (on house hold doors), is when people tear it up ,door weather stripping.... great idea. Does it last long? My 'cat whiskers' are getting lean on my windows.

I have used it before to wrap my back driver's side door frame, that had rusted out in a couple places.
I filled the track with caulk, then set the door insulation in the caulking and closed the door for a couple days to let it set.
that was over 10 years ago, and it is still sealed against leaking, and I have full use of the door.
this is the first time I have used it as a door felt. but so far it is working great it seals tight against the glass, it has a nylon woven covering with a hard nylon core. so it should last longer then the factory fuzz. being a more advanced material.
