Now here's something you don't see everyday, especially in the front corner of the yard, next to the street, in the middle of the day. Explains the chewed up trees and missing leaves I've noticed though. Hard to tell in the photo's, taken through one of the garage door windows with zoom, it was a big sucker that would pretty much look at you eye to eye.
Well im not sure if thats one of my cats, ive a kitten that looks just like, but that looks bigger then a kitten but maybe its from being a semi long distance shot. I dont know if the cat got any birds.
Edit, I did see feathers in that area when I went and moved the sprinkler tonight and didnt think much of it, so id think probably.
Animal kingdom can be cruel for sure. I always loved watching the neighborhood strays preying on rabbits and such, its like watching big cat documentary's on a smaller scale.
That deer is still hanging around and also has a fawn. It's way too tame I think! You can get within 10 feet of it before it will kind of wander away a little bit. A few days ago I was sitting out back doing something or another and I feel something between my arm and chest. It was the fawn. I know dogs do that but deer????? Turned around and mama deer is just standing there by the gate watching kind of nonchalantly. A couple days ago I walked out the back door and the deer was in my "courtyard" lounging in the shade and the fawn was bouncing around like a baby goat. Heck of a thing. I guess one advantage is mama deer is keeping the low branches on my trees trimmed.
