never got around to parking brake cables but I did figure out the engine wiring and I think that I figured out neutral cutoff switch/ reverse light switch for the manual conversion.. If I am reading the schematic right then the white and violet wire is the reverse light, and the yellow wire is the neutral cut off. which on a factory manual car would be dark green wire. so... do I connect the yellow wire to the dark green wire comming off the switch on the clutch pedal? I am pretty sure I do..any thoughts on this would be great as this is my first F-body auto to manual conversion...

I cut and spliced the white connector from the manual harness to the white and violet wires on the auto harness...

here is the green wire I was talking about that allows the car to be started in gear with the clutch pushed in... Do I connect this to the yellow wire?

I looked through the entire forum for electrical, transmission and swaps and cant find anything about the wiring differences of a manual and auto trans...I am going to just go with what I believe to be true. I think that the switch on the clutch pedal should connected to the yellow wire on the trans harness.

Scoured FABO and I couldn't find a good answer. so I guess I am going to connect it the way I was thinking and see if it works. IF not I will deal with it later. moving on... my door bell rang and I got that Christmas feeling expecting FEDex or UPS...it was just some Jehovah's Witnesses...:bs:drat...

Did you figure out your brake pedal height issue? Somewhere the answer was out there a while back- I thought?

I have my neutral switch disconnected down at the trans (yellow wire, If I recall correctly)- If that helps confirm your thinking.

Nah I never figured out the pedal height issue but I suspect it is a wrong master cylinder . if not I will try to find a shorter push rod or adjustable one. when I figure it out I will be sure to post a thread about it. Yeah the NSS is the yellow wire on an automatic trans. and I believe that that wire runs to a point on the starter relay.. so a manual trans only has two wires going to it for the reverse backup light, so I spliced the connector for that and pressed it onto the trans last night. Which leaves the yellow wire the NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) In my case I just run the existing yellow wire from the trans harness to the green wire on the switch on the clutch pedal. so that the car will only start when the clutch is pressed in. I have studied the wire diagram all day and that is my final answer.

Is that a factory manual brake car? or was it converted to manual? Nice projects by the way.

Its a factory manual but the master cylinder was like the only new thing in the engine compartment so I am guessing that it was the wrong part.

Nice wheels. Had a similar set with baby moon centers so it cut the holes down to half showing. Get some video up when you rip it up on the street.
