My sister just got a Prius ... she could not understand when I told her that the batteries in that car have a higher carbon footprint than owning a Hummer for 5 years.because the nickle is mined in China and Shipped to the toyota plant in the US where is then processes and shipped to the dealership .I told her that and she was like nuh uhh.... but its the truth and its a slow ugly booger buggy to boot. omg ok at least we KNOW the truth and yes after making 200+ per month payments you would be spending more that you would on gas for a...HUMMER. we are talking 7 MPG lol...30,000 for a plastic jelly bean..give me a break...

Bingo!
Always funny watching them drool when you hit them with the truth.
Ramenth would agree I'm sure.
A while back he penned this perfect post on the subject

lol...back to business. I got the trunk pan all done and the gas tank installed. I am going to be finishing up the last of the tail panel patched up all the way and grind the welds down. The epoxy primer is coming Fed Ex and will be here tomorrow so I have got to get the cars ready for paint. This is the home stretch...

I just checked the satellite shot for Kingsland.....looks like you've got a rainy day ahead of you.....so I have a suggestion.
Relax, sit back and just take in what you've done.
Might be a great day just to sit in a chair in the garage, throw on some tunes and have a few wobbly pops and just take in and enjoy your hard work.
When the rain stops you can hit it hard again.
Enjoy the day buddy. :eek:ccasion14:

And I see we've got primer on the go too.
Primer is a go..that's just the rustoleum piss can stuff so far we are waiting for the last repairs on the exterior body panels to be complete before shooting the good stuff. and the good stuff is black so that the primer will not shine through. still lots of work left but little by little it is coming together. I counted 8 repairs on my car until l its ready to paint. The hell raiser has the same number but one is a doosey. it is the next thing I am going to do because it requires the most amount of metal.

"I wonder if there are any A-body bumpers that are a close enough fit for our cars."

I have seen 74 duster bumper used on the front, looked pretty good.

Thats cool they are really similar I just google'd 74 duster the bumpers are pretty close and they hug the body better. Does anything have to be modified for the bumper to fit like making it wider or is it a seemles fit?

we have accumulated a fairly large pile of scrap metal from all our endeavors so it is time to take it off and make room for the painting process and make some $$$ at the same time. I was watching an episode of Roadkill today and I couldn't help thinking that my car build is VERY similar to one of their shows. I have to build the car that was burried in the dirt for years in 2 months then drive it 400 miles after only driving it down the dirt road a few times...no way anything can go wrong with that plan huh..lol
