The roller coaster continues. Yesterday the high was 33 and no wind. Today the high was a sweltering 4 with a north wind and -20 to -30 windchill, forecast low tonight -15 to -20 and windchill of -40 :( :( :(

Truth is that we haven't had mutch cold weather this year so a few days shouldn't be a problem.

Was 21F last night and within 48 hours is supposed to be 77F

I'm headed out to get the new chain saw I ordered and try it out on some trees at the estate.

Then I must come home and finish the paperwork for the IRS. Ugh

there we go - thinking about the “acronym removed to prevent me from getting audited” gets people to purchase chain saws and, um, level things?

The forecast was wrong. It was -22 at home this morning and when I got to work it was -31. Are you bleeping kidding me?

Old Iron, you are right. This winter hasn't been TOO bad in the grand scheme of things. Less snow would be nice though! Still about 2 feet on the ground.

Much warmer today (about +30) but of course, it's snowing a little bit. They're calling for another 3-6" on Monday.:( Seems the 2 feet on the ground right now aren't adequate so, better add some more.
Yeah I know, it's winter in north central WI and what do I expect? It's the cabin fever affecting my thought process:confused:. I've got an outdoor shower behind the house and I'll consider it nice weather when we can use it once again. OK, being able to go outdoors without spending 10 minutes getting dressed for the cold will be almost as good along with seeing green instead of nothing but white and brown!:)

Monday it got up to 40, bright sunshine and ZERO wind. Darn nice for this time of year. Today it got up to 12, sunny (which seemed to have no effect at all) and a 10-20 mph north wind, not very nice. Supposed to be back to 40 by Sunday. I don't like roller coasters, both the temperature kind as well as the theme park kind.:p

Kind of bummed. Yesterday we got over an inch of rain , which washed a good portion of the salt away. The ground is still frozen so it didn't soak in at all. Then it got cold and it froze into a sheet of ice, followed by some sleet and then an inch of snow on top of the ice. So, all the salt that got washed away, got put back this morning. Now we have to start all over from the beginning. :( Just to twist that knife, temps dropping to low single digits tonight (below zero north of here). Welcome to the 1st day of spring. Sigh..................................

Always reminds me of Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs:

It's been cold and raining steady since Friday evening. Good news is, the rain finally stopped. Bad news is the precipitation didn't stop, it just turned into snow.:(

Forecast for Sunday afternoon into Monday morning: 8-12" or more of snow possible, with winds of 35-40 mph, gusting to 50+. Yee-bleeping-ha.:(

If there was ever a time when I hope the forecast is wrong, it's now.
