Its a factory manual but the master cylinder was like the only new thing in the engine compartment so I am guessing that it was the wrong part.

There is a manual and power brake push rod, maybe you have the wrong one? Dr.diff has adjustable ones that work well too. New wheels really make a difference! Nice!

So Rich was having allot of
Problems troubleshooting (from now on typed T/S) smoking grounds, cross connected wire functions, half working electronic circuits, etc. so I suggested that we pull out my internal harness & swap it out & see how it goes. You cannot under value morale support! Pics to come

It wasn't all shot, just some of it shorted, shorted to each other, the head light switch powered the windshield washer motor...

Some how I had acquired a NOS new in box under-dash/in-cabin wire harness so I told him to use my aspen dash vice trying to T/S it for two days. It had some differences and RIch will have to expound on those. He had multiple problems, but the switching of in cabin harnesses solved quite a few problems. he still has one headlight...

I work full time so I don't always get to put in the same time as Rich-he will be able to say more. We did have mud dobbers nests all over the cars, but not in the wiring harnesses. AND we had some mice/rat's nests intitially-stinky/gross!

Rich is a few working hours from a fully operational battle station, and he plans to test it on your home planet of alderaan. He is excited and very frustrated at any back pedaling which spurs from assembly/resto hickups. It will be great to see his mind at ease when he is just doing the extra credit to his car.

It will be interesting/entertaining/educational to see how the final chapters of function and testing play out-more to me than the cosmetic 'make-up' of his paint & body.

So here is what is going on...

The dimmer switch on the headlights when put full on turns the washer fluid motor on..

the horn is shorted to the ignition switch so when you turn the key you get a shock and the horn blasts...

the headlights dont come on at all but the drivers side running light/ turnsignal does and the licence plate light does....

I swapped the interior harness and thought that it solved the problem accept that the headlights still didnt work and when I put the steering wheel back on and bolted the fuse box back up. the same problems came back...( I think that the steering wheel part of the harness is screwed up and it was ok untill it wiggled)

So I have eliminated the interior harnness as the problem..I know that the rear harness is working because of the licence plate light...

that leaves one thing and I dread it because I hate hate hate doing things twice...

I have to replace the engine harness from the big connector forward it makes sense because all the wires that are misbehaving twist together and go through the fire wall together so some thing is touching that shouldn't in that bundle.... :BangHead:

horn works no more shocker!!
headlights work but only on one setting, not sure if high or low beam yet.
washer fluid pump no longer turns on from the dimmer switch.
