We've got no clouds, 74 so far and a light breeze. Humidity is on the rise. Yesterday at this time it was like 26%, today it's 64% (as of 2pm). They changed the forecast for the next few days. Upped the temps to 88-90 and on channel 9 this morning the meteorologist said "air you can wear". In other words, humid as all bleep BUT little chance of any rain. Oh, of course winds predicted to be next to nothing. When you want some wind, there's none. When you don't want it (like when it's -20F in January) then you get hurricane force straight out of the north. Sigh............................

Like I said it's gorgeous here but it's a freakin psunami in western Canada. My wife is out there visiting her dad. Was supposed to pick her up at the airport at 8:00 but now it's delayed three hours so far. No beers tonight......

Looks like we've got a good old fashioned summer day. Only 9:30 and it's already 81 degrees with a humidity level of 79% and barely light breeze. Glad I'm off work this week but feel sorry for the rest of the guys down at the shop. Always nothing like hot and humid, then work over a hot engine! Guess that's why auto tech's are paid the big bucks, lol.

Was one nice thing when I worked at the now defunct (in 2007)Ford dealer a few blocks from the shop I'm at now. During renovations in 1999, they put A/C in the shop. It was only used on days like this but sure made it a lot nicer to work. We always told them the increased productivity would make up for the added electrical cost. Not sure if it did but it was a nice story anyways, lol!

Yep, and it had hydronic heated floors too. Was nice in winter NOT having frozen feet all day plus, all the snow, slush and assorted slop that fell off the cars would melt and dry up pretty quick. Good shop to work in,,,,, right up until the day it closed 8 years ago.

Got 94 degrees right now but some clouds rolled in. Looked like it was going to hit the fan a little bit ago but nothing happened. Well, one thing did happen. The humidity dropped from the 86% it was at 1pm down to the current 50%. Sure makes a BIG difference!

I bet that was one of those old family owned Ford dealers that Ford pushed out of the business back then, and then gave the dealerships to ex pro athletes who had no clue about the car business. That move never made sense to me. What was Ford thinking?

Actually no, that wasn't the case. It was a smaller dealership but highly successful. The owners got in too far over their heads in debt for other things ($2M boats, $1M houses, etc) all using the business as collateral. There is also something about tax evasion, and a few other things heard through the grapevine. One day the bank came and closed it up. They came in at 5pm and we were told we had "until 8pm to remove our personal belongings". Bunch of pricks. They were the dumb f**** that kept lending the owners money. There's a lot more to it but that's the short version. On the up side, the bank lost their ass. The building and property was for sale for over 3 years. Started at $2.3M and ended up selling a couple years ago for $450,000! Probably never know the whole story. Sorry, didn't mean to get off topic so far. it'll never happen again! (yeah right)

Sun came back out and it's up to 96 now but humidity is down to 41%. It can keep going down, won't hurt my feelings at all.

Back into the oven.
We have a heat warning in place.
Hit 100° today and we're parked in this till Thursday at least.

After a weekend in the 90's and humid as all heck, today it's more than 20 degrees cooler. Been overcast all day though. We got our "big rain" this morning (lol) MAYBE 1/32" if that.
Kind of strange. It was 72 when I got up this morning about 5:30, it was 72 at noon (down in Mosinee where I work anyways) and right now at 5:30pm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,72. Gotta love consistency!

Fortunately, summer comes back in a couple days. Back to high 70's/low 80's.

I'd kill for 68. Sunday it rained off and on, was dark, overcast, damp and windy. High was 57. Monday, same shit except it only hit 54. Today,,,,,,,,,,,,,,dark and overcast but no rain and a high of 59. Seriously? Though this was August, not October. Supposedly they say tomorrow it'll get to 70 (I'm not holding my breath) and we MIGHT see the sun again on Thursday. This sucks in so many ways. Sucks all the ambition right out of a person. Something so wrong about sitting here on August 25th and hearing the furnace running.

Well, it is redeeming itself now. Mostly clear and 73 today. Only down side is there's basically no humidity so the temp will drop like a stone tonight after sunset (low 40's in the city, high 30's outlying). Keeps getting warmer(!), back to high 80's to low 90's next week,,,,,,,,,,,,or so they say right now anyways.

It's all out chilly here right now but the forecast says sunny and hot for the weekend. I see a full Plymouth weekend in my future.

Same here, except Dodge instead of Plymouth, lol. Saturday looks dodgy (no pun intended) rain wise off and on but Sunday and Monday show 100% sunshine and around 80 or so. That'll be amazing since it's Labor Day and a 3-day weekend.
