this is what i'm busy with

Thanks.
Few pics. I’m in the gray shirt. The guy in the coveralls is the smartest guy I know. Definitely can’t do it with out him. The big guy in black owns the Cuda. He’s just there for looks lol. It was busy Saturday. I helped a friend with his Cuda. Back and forth between the 2 cars.

Haha I wish. It’s got a R3/W9 that twisted the dyno at 700 hp and the heads are not even ported yet.
I helped Cliff (coveralls guy) build the engine 2 years ago. Used my engine run stand to break it in.
There is a good chance I will end up with this engine sometime in the next year or so.

Awesome car and I absolutely love the fact that your knocking on 9's door with a cast crank/rods and iron heads. Bad ass.

Thanks.
I’m going to try everything I possibly can to get a 9.99. The air was horrible last weekend. Maybe just maybe when I go in September the air will be better.
I will post a video when I get home from working out of town. Sucks being gone Monday to Friday but that’s life.

Last weekend I was supposed to race Saturday/Sunday but I didn’t get to make a pass. During my first burnout, a connecting rod let go. So that ended my 2020 race season.
I still super happy with the shortened season. I ran personal best in every category from 60’ to MPH.
I wanted to run 11.0 with this 360” and I went way beyond that. I’m very happy with my cars performance. Ended up with a 10.20 @ 130 MPH.

I have a few ideas floating around in my head for a new short block.
I have another 360” block and could use that.
I have a standard bore 340” block that I could use. This is the route I will probably take.
I have a direct connection 3.46” stroke 340 main forged crank and BME aluminum rods with JE forged pistons sitting in the shelf.
Good chance I will put this together with my top end from the 360”.

Now you'll have to change your signature where it says "stock cast crank and rods from 1974". Hey, let's see any Chevy with 45+ year old stock crank and rods go 10.20, never happen!:D

I had to try and to be honest, I never thought I would even hit the 10’s and if it did, maybe a 10.90. So to run low 10’s with basically a great set of iron heads and a solid cam, I was more then pleased.

Details of the damage?

If it's bad and you'd rather NOT, I understand...but otherwise, portion of the assembly still salvagable?

Either way, sorry to hear about the outcome!
