Yes, this morning.
funny thing happened on the 9.96 pass. The last 100-150’ the car nosed over. I thought the engine went. Car was dead. Tried starting it on the return road. Wouldn’t fire. I just happened to look at my ignition box on the passenger side. My coil wire came off. How does that happen.
Good chance I would have see a 9.85 at 134 mph.
i took 6 degrees of timing out to slow the car down. Slowed the car down to 10.14.
Lost 2nd round, .008 red light.

2021 season was a good one. The 340” W2 headed engine surprised me. I didn’t think it would run so good and hard.

this was the first time since I started racing in 1997 that I’ve had to slow the car down. Next year I will get my license and run 9’s

Gee, "only" a 9.96 best time? ;)

Just realized watching, and listening to, the video, I haven't been to the drags over at WIR in Kaukauna. or anywhere else for that matter, for waaaaaaaay too long (like 30 years). Next season I MUST rectify the situation, absolute must.

New oil in engine, rockers backed off. It really is end of season when this happens. I have a few things I’m going to do. This is one of the things.

What you guys think? Yes or no?

Mild steel. Just debating on what size of pipe to get. Thinking about a stepped header, 1-3/4” to 1-7/8”

This is what I’ve come up with so far.
