Meet my Toyota Pickup’s replacement, a ‘97 Ram 1500 Laramie SLT with 210k miles. It’s got some stuff to fix before it’s street-legal though. Like…exhaust. And the dash: And some other stuff, tires, a couple lights, etc. For now the yard is a bit cluttered.

After 4 months, I’ve finally started the teardown on the ‘13 5.7 Hemi that I got. So far it’s just the passenger-side head that’s been pulled off. The closeup shot is of the #2 cylinder.

I’ve honestly never thought about this before: Why are some flywheels specified with a Driver-Side or Passenger-Side starter? I thought as long as the teeth match up to the ring gear then it shouldn’t really matter. Here’s a screenshot of what brought my question on:
