Like those haulers :).

Was those inefficiencies part of the reason for Chryslers demise about that time?

Don't think I've seen cab over semi on the road for over 30 years.

Chrysler got into trouble by poor management decisions mostly, which included letting quality slide, among others. That era wasn't kind to other car companies either.

The 80s was their upswing. Trucking cars between plants is what AMC did at Kenosha. First AMC was building the cars for Chrysler, then Chrysler got the plant with the merger and ended up shutting it down.

Some garage news. A number of years ago I found a set of stainless A/F/J/M headers on eBay for $120. 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" primary tubes, can't remember, but it's bigger than the standard 1 5/8". Then Dad moved, built a barn and retired. Things are settled down now and projects are moving forward. He just put them in this week and I shot a quick video of the car running open headers. 408 sounds good.

All the talk in the news about that bridge in Baltimore made me think of this old fake car ad:

Apparently it was a real thing at one point:

i had no idea it was a parody of an actual ad this whole time!. Heritage Auto Group is still around. Heritage Chevrolet is in Owings Mills, Northeast of Baltimore City.

Bark on the trees and grass are green, still waiting on leaves.

A couple better random pics. What I can't wait to get out for the season, if it ever gets here. Neither have been out since late October, just before the 1st salt spreading of the season (which was Oct 27th).
