this is what i'm busy with

I live in Oklahoma City and it sounds like weather is now nice enough for the local racers to get active again. I’ve been working on my lawn mower (engine overhaul) last and getting that project completed tonight. Over the weekend, wile working in the garage, I heard a bunch of “high HP acceleration trials” going on in several directions in town, all a few miles from my home.
I don’t think the Discovery Channel media crews have made it to OKC, yet, for all I heard were “solo’s” – but it is getting warm enough for things to get active (finally).

What's it been a couple of years since you bought it? A lot of work anyway.

ya it's been 2 years since i bought it. i have changed pretty much everything. only thing i haven't touched was the body.

need to order driveshaft tomorrow as i took out the 727 and put in a 904. other then some small things, it's almost ready to race.

I don't know your location but were do you plan on running it, is it a 1/4 or 1/8 mile track?

I did some more work on my volare. I will post a video shortly. I took it to 6500 rpm and it wanted a bit more, so I’ll see when what it wants under full load of the race track

the slicks have 15 passes on them. not new but still lots left for my low horse power engine. i don't think i will have a problem with traction at the track. roughly 430-440 hp with ladder bars and a 14'' wide slick should have zero traction issues.
need harness, roll bar padding, helmet, and jacket to race. i think that's it. slowly coming together

Yeah...sure is coming together nicely!

So how far of a drie to the nearest track? Do you atually drive it there, or trailer?

Sounds crisp...love it, nice build my friend!
