hey Bud
wasn't there an outfit that just took the guts out of the open-type case, and replaced it with a ratchet deal? I remember those as being fairly cheap. Probably a lil noisy but it's only on the turns.......
Oh wait, those might not work with C-clip axles.....

Yes. I call them the poor man spool.

Don’t think they were meant to ratchet, though (could be wrong).

They replace the spider gears and lock both rear axles together.

I wouldn’t waste my money on them. If I wanted to use a spool – I would just get a spool and reduce all of the rotating weight (unless you were stuck out of town and this could get you home).
My opinion, anyway.

The powertracks has a camming and ratcheting action. It is obnoxious in a street car, and can be hard on parts. I have helped install and ridden in cars with them. Spools are less annoying, but harder on the axles.

Oh, OK. I have driven a spool with 325/50-15s in town, for, about 4 hrs. Then I went home and next day, I tore it outta there.

Hi Guys,

I adjusted the cable 1/8" looser and it seems to have changed the trans quite a lot, it changes like a normal trans now! Amazing 1/8" can make all the difference!

The 3rd to 2nd down shift problem is gone, its quiet on the down shift now, don't even know its doing it!

Come for a ride with me and don't Poo yourself when you see me driving on the wrong side of the road, don't worry its you guys who drive on the wrong side not me :) Let me know what you think. Come for a ride around my area and into my garage!

Well there we go guys some 15 pages and a few other posts, some bumps along the way and the Cordoba is all going again with a 360 magnum between the fenders! I think there is more tuning to be had, I might get it dyno tuned and see what they come up with. The secondaries may not be opened yet and it still might like more advance. But can't tell until its on the dyno!

AJ Forms - Why does the trans not clonk now going down 3rd to 2nd, is this because it not changing down until a much lower road speed? Do I still have a problem?

I can’t view the videos at work. Will try to view them when I get home.

Sometimes getting the throttle pressure just right (via linkage) takes care of things.

Yes they are the same company.
Chrysler prefers to call their differentials Spicer 60 (or Spicer 35, etc.) sometimes (instead of Dana 60, Dana 35, etc.).
