The 408 stroker kit was coming from Clegg, great bunch of guys there and very helpful, there was an issue, icon couldn't supply pistons, after 3 months and lots of promises icon never came through. Then this magnum turned up and I thought I would get it, I liked the roller cam idea and the extra power for free, so the guys at Clegg were kind enough to let me change my order for some Engine Quest heads and a roller cam. At the time I didn't have plans to machine the heads or fit different rockers, the heads are limited to about .5" lift, I have been there with big cams and I don't like them, I dunno why I am just use to hearing a V8 run even and I like that sound, not one that cackles like a chook that has just laid a double yoker egg and it stretched its bum so hard it can't shut up clucking or what ever they do! So I opted for a cam a tad better than stock, a little more duration and lift that takes my heads to their limit, I can use the valve springs that come with the heads and it all bolts together with no issues (just the way I like it, as if anything goes wrong I have delays getting stuff out of the USA) Just remember a flat rate box out of the USA cost me $140NZD to get here! I read the 904s were pretty pathetic in stock trim, a mild 318 could send a stock one to heaven if you stood on it, my current 904 slips when it changes from 1st to 2nd, so probably wasn't going to be long before it departed this planet in burnt out smokey oily mess! So this rebuilt trans should hold the mag quite nicely! My heads and cam left the USA this week so I will see them mid August, sighhhhhh
