Made 1 more pass, ET is getting better after every pass. 60’ is also going down. Better burnout this pass

I'm thinking looking at the 60' times the car could use a little help there.
What is the stall speed and what gear does the car have? Also are you using the foot brake to stage the car or line lock?

Great thread, Awesome build.
Nice progress on dialing her in.
X2 on the 60’ time. Keep at it, play with tire pressure, burnout and launch RPM.
As stated above the ET and MPH are a great match.
Did you dial in the front shocks? As per your post in 143.

Stall, 5200 rpm
Gears, 4.86
Slicks, used old one that are wore out. 60’ will improve with new slicks
Launch, foot brake. Leave at 2000. Will try trans brake next year
Front shocks, adjusted to max loose

5200 converter is a lot and probably could be lower. You might be blowing past 700 rpm of your max hp.

Convertor is borrowed so it’s not perfect but it’s what I have for now.
I started shifts at 6200 rpm the first time out. This time I raised up the rpm shift to 6500 on the 10.48 pass. Liked more rpm. Next pass I took it to 6700 and picked up to 10.40.
Lots of things to try. New slicks will pick up 60’ I would think.
Ladder bars are not set on kill mode either. Definitely can play with that next year.
I had a 7000 rpm chip in rev limiter and bumped that the last 100’ or so. I switched to 7300 chip but didn’t get another pass in.

I very happy so far with the engine. I was hoping to run 11.0’s with it. Seeing the 10.48 at 128.56 mph I was over whelmed. I thought the timing system made an error. So on my second pass i was thinking that I will be back at 11.0’s. Made my pass (felt really good) and got my slip, even faster at 10.40, even more happy. Then looked at my 60’ (1.46) even better.

Maybe you don't need a converter if you're shifting that high.

I can try a tighter convertor. The guy has 2 convertors, the 1 in my car now seems to be working decent but never know till I try his other one.

Let the fun begin. Pulled engine out tonight. I’ll check all the bearings and make sure everything is good. Only got 6 passes on but I would rather find out now if everything is good or if something is not going good.
